Description
The site historically has been used as a construction/ heavy equipment storage and maintenance yard. Extensive gravel mining has occurred on the southern portion of the property.

Public Health and Environmental Concerns
There are three areas where chlorinated solvents have contaminated the soil and groundwater. One area is suspected to be the major source area for the area-wide groundwater contamination. There are other smaller areas where the soil is contaminated with petroleum area. Buried solid waste and drums were found in one area.

Current Status
Cleanup of the site is contingent on continuing analysis of area-wide groundwater data and available state funding. For more information and updates on this site, please see the database entry--link at top of page.
